I was super excited to get my copy of the GoodType The Book Volume 1 today in the mail. I am honored to have my lettering next to so many other great pieces of design. If you get your hands on a copy, Quote #2 is featured on page 127.
Today is a proud day for me as I presented Mom’s House of Phoenixville with a check from the proceeds of the Art 4 Heart Project sales. I can’t thank everyone who purchased the posters enough. I met my $1000 goal which feels great, especially when I saw the faces of some of the children that this money will directly impact. My donation can provide childcare and educational resources for one child for one month.
Although my sabbatical is officially over, I still have some prints available to purchase. These funds will continue to support Mom’ House. Pop over to my online shop and pick up some inspiration for your home, office or classroom.
Quote#5: Available For Purchasepurchase
The fifth and final installment to the Art4Heart Project is now available in my shop. This concludes the creative aspect of my sabbatical project. All that is left is to continue to promote the sale of the posters.
Even though the online store has only been open for a few days, the support I have received thus far has been amazing! I look forward to writing a check to Mom’s House soon. The first batch of online sales will be hitting mailboxes next week.
I printed a bunch of these gems today. Metallic gold and slate blue ink on French Paper Company 100# Pure White Construction. Beautiful. Thankfully, I did not have any of the ink or registration issues I encountered the last time. Phew!
These will be available to purchase from my shop soon. I can’t wait to sign and number them.
The Big Cartel Shop is Back!purchase
Sorry if you tried to go to my shop earlier today and were unable to check out the goods. It was closed for a few hours due to maintenance. I’m happy to announce, we are back up and running. Happy shopping!
Now On Sale!purchase
My Big Cartel shop is now open! I currently have four prints available for purchase. (Quote#5 will be available shortly.) Each signed, limited edition, 11″ x 14″ print is $20 + tax & shipping. The proceeds from the sale of all prints go to support Mom’s House of Phoenixville.
If you are a Royersford local and want to purchase, email me to avoid shipping fees.
Quote#5: “Challenge” has been a challengein-progress
Although the semester officially ended on May 17th, I still have work to complete on my sabbatical project. The fifth and final poster has proved to be a challenge. I had experienced some difficulties with plate registration and ink consistency on press last week and must reprint Quote#5. This poster in particular has been a test of my limited letterpress printing skills. To remedy the alignment issue, I tweaked my design to remove the two-color, double line. Thus, I had to order an new polymer plate for the gold ink. In addition, I need to remove the line on the slate blue plate…nothing a that I can’t fix with a fresh X-acto knife blade. I should be getting inky again next week.
I’m looking forward to having the poster available to purchase online by the June 1st. If you want to purchase one before then, feel free to email me.
Quote#4: Hot off the pressPrinting
This is it folks…quote#4. I absolutely love how it turned out…the design, the colors, the printing. The entire package is friendly and inviting. (Pun intended.)
I can’t believe I have one more poster to print. Soon, the prints will be available to purchase and all proceeds will go to support Mom’s House Phoenixville. I’m excited that my design will help make a difference in a child’s life.
Good Type Booklettering, publication
Good News! I was notified last week that Quote#2 was selected to be published in the first Good Type Book. Good Type posts such amazing lettering work daily. This is an honor to be included especially since the Art4Heart Project is my first true foray into hand lettering. (Doodles created during meetings do not count.) I’m humbled.
Quote#3: Is History!Letterpress
I was a busy bee today. I started and finished printing both colors of quote#3. (I even squeezed in a quick 2+ mile run this afternoon before got cleaned-up and went to AIGA Philly’s Feedback 17 portfolio review.) And, I managed to record the printing of one poster via Hyperlapse. Check it out!
