Back in October, I met with several clients of Mom’s House Phoenixville and asked them about their personal mantras…what keeps them going as they juggle school full-time, work, and single-parenting. The clients completed a survey comprised of various quotes about success, hard work, and children. They were asked to select the quotes that connected with them personally. There were multiple ties in the top three ranking. The selections are as follows:
Anyone who does anything to help a child in his life is a hero to me. —Fred Rodgers
Your children need your presence more than your presents. —Jesse Jackson
I may not be there yet, but I am closer than I was yesterday. —Jose N. Harris
It always seems impossible until it is done.
Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny. —C.S. Lewis
What you do today can improve all your tomorrows.
Now that I have quotes, I better go sketch.
